Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in CA Gen (Advantage:Gen / IEF) for design, development, and maintenance.
- Proven expertise with Tuxedo middleware.
- Strong Oracle and PL/SQL skills.
- Proficient in Unix environments and shell scripting.
- SC Clearance or eligibility for clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop enhancements for core tax applications using PL/SQL and CA Gen.
- Lead batch-related improvement forums to reduce failures and optimize overnight run times.
- Manage complex clone activities, including restores, robotics coordination, and patch upgrades for testing environments.
- Provide technical troubleshooting for application performance and support live release activities.
- Collaborate with Audit, Disaster Recovery, and Implementation teams to ensure compliance with government standards.
Description
We are seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to join our mission-critical team in Telford. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working remotely with two days per month onsite. As part of our highly motivated and specialized team, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and evolving the UKs national tax infrastructure. With a competitive rate of £370-£420 per day and a high likelihood of extension, we focus on high-integrity, high-volume transaction systems that support public sector finance.
