Requirements
Must:
- Strong commercial experience with Java (Java 8)
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring frameworks
- Experience developing RESTful web services
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams
- Understanding of secure coding practices
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications in line with digital and engineering standards
- Build and support microservices and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, testers, and DevOps engineers in agile teams
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (TDD/BDD where applicable)
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
- Ensure applications meet security, accessibility, and performance standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects across development and production environments
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
Description
We are looking for a Java Developer to join our team on a remote basis for a 12-month contract.
