Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Data Governance Business Analyst
- Strong understanding of BCBS 239 regulations
- Solid experience with Data Quality and Data Lineage frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Alation and/or Open Lineage (advantageous)
- Excellent business analysis skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving capability
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable working in complex, regulated environments
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance Data Governance frameworks, ensuring regulatory and policy alignment
- Apply strong knowledge of BCBS 239 principles to data governance activities
- Work with Data Quality (DQ) frameworks and Data Lineage, explaining the how, what, and why to stakeholders
- Proactively engage with CIOs, business units, functions, application owners, and delegates
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue investigation and resolution
- Engage stakeholders effectively and track and report data-related issues
- Handle escalations confidently, including challenging stakeholder scenarios
- Collaborate effectively across teams to drive data governance outcomes
Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Business Analyst to support the delivery and ongoing enhancement of our enterprise data governance initiatives in Glasgow. This contract position, with a competitive rate of £250-£300 per day, runs for 10 months and involves working 23 days onsite per week. We value strong regulatory knowledge, hands-on data governance experience, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills to work collaboratively across both technical and business teams.
