Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in enterprise cybersecurity architecture, risk management, and compliance
- Strong knowledge of security engineering across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with networking and operating systems
- Familiarity with containerised and modern infrastructure environments
- Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), zero trust architecture, and secure infrastructure automation
- Solid understanding of cryptographic protocols and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure)
- Knowledge of authentication and authorisation mechanisms
- Understanding of secure communications standards
- Excellent technical writing skills for architecture documentation and audit readiness
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, GIAC certifications, TOGAF, SABSA
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain secure architecture frameworks for enterprise systems across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and security gap analyses across infrastructure and application layers
- Define and enforce security standards, reference architectures, and policy controls aligned with frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and CIS
- Evaluate, select, and integrate security technologies including SIEM, EDR, DLP, WAF, and encryption solutions
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to embed security-by-design and support Secure Software Development Lifecycles (SSDLC)
- Lead initiatives around incident response strategy, detection engineering, mitigation planning, and digital forensics readiness
- Monitor emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes, providing expert guidance to stakeholders
- Produce high-quality architectural documentation supporting audit, governance, and compliance requirements
Description
We are a leading organization in the cybersecurity field, committed to protecting our clients systems and data. This role is based in Wokingham with a hybrid working model, requiring 2-3 days onsite per week. We offer a contract duration of 12 months at a competitive rate of £570/day inside IR35. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a skilled team in a dynamic environment, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-scale security architecture and governance. Active SC clearance is a mandatory requirement for applying.
