Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in C# / .NET development
- Experience building desktop applications (WPF, WinUI or similar)
- Solid engineering fundamentals (design, testing, maintainability)
- Comfortable working in a product-focused environment
- Interest in software that interacts with real-world systems
- Nice to have: Linux / C++ experience
- Nice to have: IoT or industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC UA)
- Nice to have: Cloud exposure (Azure)
Responsibilities
- Designing and building next-generation desktop applications in C# / .NET
- Developing software that interfaces with laboratory instruments and automation systems
- Creating tools that support scientific workflows and chemical processes
- Contributing to architecture and helping shape new systems from the ground up
- Working closely with engineers, product teams, and domain specialists
Description
We are an engineering-led team focused on building greenfield software used in real laboratory environments, supporting chemists in designing, running, and optimizing chemical processes. Our role revolves around desktop application development with technologies like C# and .NET in a hands-on environment where our applications are integral to the daily workflows of scientists. We offer a hybrid working model, a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000, private healthcare, a pension plan, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and robust employee wellbeing support.
