Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Strong experience in application support or ownership.
- Proficient SQL skills and experience with SQL-backed business applications (T-SQL preferred).
- Experience in supporting and integrating business applications (APIs, EDI, flat files) and vendor management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong documentation and training experience.
- An analytical, proactive, and adaptable mindset.
- Ideally, experience with ERP or logistics systems, familiarity with BI/reporting tools, and knowledge of ITIL practices.
- Candidates must be based in Northern Ireland with full rights to work unrestricted in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Own and support core business applications, troubleshooting, resolving incidents, and tuning performance.
- Manage application updates, releases, and changes, coordinating with internal teams and vendors.
- Maintain and improve integrations with other systems to ensure smooth data flow.
- Write and maintain clear documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials for users.
- Identify under-used features and optimize how applications are adopted across the business.
- Ensure security, data governance, and disaster recovery processes are followed.
Description
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Application Support Engineer to take ownership of key business applications and ensure they run smoothly across our organization. You will be the go-to person for day-to-day support, updates, integrations, and process improvements, working closely with key stakeholders across multiple departments. This role is based in Aghalee, with occasional travel, and operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, on-site. The salary ranges from £45,000 to £55,000.
