Must:
To be successful in this role, I am looking for candidates who possess the following:
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience leading IT support, infrastructure, or systems administration teams.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 architecture and administration, including Intune.
- Experience in procuring and managing SaaS platforms.
- A proven track record in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies.
- Strong vendor management skills, including contract negotiation and service delivery oversight.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
- A full driving licence or equivalent transport arrangements.
Responsibilities
As the IT Manager, I will expect you to:
- Oversee IT systems, networks, Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune), and SaaS applications.
- Ensure strong cybersecurity practices and compliance with standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and GDPR.
- Lead IT projects from planning through delivery, including end-user training.
- Manage IT infrastructure, service desk operations, SLAs, KPIs, and system performance.
- Contribute to strategic IT planning, digital transformation, and innovation initiatives.
- Manage and develop a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to lead our IT function and drive digital transformation across the organisation. This is a hybrid role with a mix of office-based and remote working. The successful candidate will benefit from 26 days of annual leave, increasing to 28 days after 3 years and 32 days after 5 years, along with 11 statutory holidays. Additional benefits include a generous pension with a 6.5% employer contribution, enhanced occupational sick pay, maternity/paternity pay, income protection, life assurance, and wellbeing programmes. Comprehensive induction and training will be provided, along with an Employee Assistance Programme and a Bike to Work Scheme. Please note that the closing date for applications is Tuesday 21st October, with interviews expected to occur during the week commencing 3rd November. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check, the cost of which will be covered by the candidate. Please ensure you are based in Northern Ireland with full working rights to work in the United Kingdom, as sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
