Requirements
Must:
- Deep technical knowledge of SMP/E and z/OS internals
- Experience with third-party management tools like Broadcom Platinum and Broadcom SYSVIEW
- Experience in IMS installation and Production DB2/IMS DBA support
- Knowledge of DB2 security implementation using RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of the DB2 subsystem
- Use SMP/E to install, patch (PTFs), and upgrade DB2 subsystems
- Monitor and tune DB2 system parameters (ZPARMS), buffer pools, and EDM pools
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies for the DB2 catalog and directory
- Install and maintain third-party products (e.g., Platinum, SYSVIEW for DB2) for database management and monitoring
- Implement and manage DB2 security
