Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in VMware vSphere and related technologies. You should have familiarity with Cisco UCS and HPE infrastructure, along with experience using vRealize Operations Manager to monitor and administer virtualised environments. Additionally, an appreciation for VMware management products such as vRealize Automation and vRealize Log Insight is essential. Knowledge of VMware Site Recovery Manager and vSAN technologies, as well as experience with Dell VxRail and virtualisation architectures, is highly desired. Familiarity with IBM Storage Technologies (Block & File Storage systems) and Spectrum Scale, as well as experience with backup software (Commvault), storage technologies (IBM, Block Storage, File Storage), and monitoring technologies (SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Datadog) is important. We also need candidates to be familiar with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) and associated features, have an understanding of Linux command line technologies, and experience in AWS server administration. Experience working in an Agile delivery environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will independently troubleshoot and resolve production service incidents and escalate to Senior Engineers as needed. You will undertake technical tasks such as patching, allocating storage, maintaining scripts, and configuring backups. It is crucial to effectively prioritise tasks to ensure high-priority activities are completed first. You will support and guide your peers and team members, contributing to team efficiency through accurate technical documentation, and proactively look for improvement opportunities within processes and procedures.
