GIS Architect

- Lead the end-to-end design of a scalable GIS platform aligned with project strategic goals - Define architecture principles, technology stack, and integration patterns - Ensure interoperability with internal and external systems (e.g., energy models, environmental databases) - Design and provision Azure-based environments (Sandbox, Dev, UAT, Production) - Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud infrastructure - Integrate with peripheral systems to support end-to-end workflows - Lead migration and replication of spatial datasets and functionalities from legacy GIS platforms - Ensure continuity of historical insights and data integrity - Establish data stewardship processes and governance frameworks - Implement metadata standards, symbology conventions, and data validation mechanisms - Leverage automation and AI/ML for data quality improvement - Enable spatial analytics, economic modelling, and visualization tools - Support decision-making and public engagement through intuitive dashboards and maps - Conduct discovery workshops with stakeholders to validate use cases - Deliver solutions through agile sprints and iterative development - Deliver training sessions and technical documentation as per standards - Provide hypercare support during transition to production
