Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with essential skills and experience including:
- 8 years of experience in GIS with deep expertise in ESRI technologies.
- Proven experience in deploying ArcGIS Enterprise and managing spatial data infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of spatial analysis, environmental modeling, and energy planning.
- Proficiency in Python, ModelBuilder, and ArcPy for automation.
- Experience with data migration, ETL tools, and system integration.
- Familiarity with cloud-based GIS deployments and hybrid architectures.
- Desirable skills include experience with community engagement tools, participatory GIS, Agile methodologies, and project management tools.
Responsibilities
As the ESRI GIS Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will:
- Lead the design and implementation of a scalable ESRI-based GIS platform, including ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
- Define system architecture, establish data flows, and identify integration points with enterprise systems.
- Oversee the migration and consolidation of spatial datasets from legacy systems.
- Develop spatial models for energy planning, environmental impact assessments, and economic forecasting.
- Incorporate community feedback into spatial decision-making tools and create interactive dashboards and maps for stakeholder engagement.
- Establish data governance protocols to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of spatial data.
- Implement ETL workflows and manage metadata standards for spatial data cataloging.
- Configure role-based access controls and ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
- Develop automated workflows for data ingestion and processing, integrating GIS with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Power BI, and AutoDesk, utilizing APIs and SDKs when necessary.
Description
This role is based in Wokingham and requires you to be in the office 3 days a week. We are looking for an experienced professional who can lead our efforts in optimizing a GIS platform that facilitates strategic spatial energy planning.
