Requirements
Must:
- DevOps CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
- Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service)
- Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines, container registry integration
- Helm, Docker, Istio
- SonarQube, Elastic Stack (ELK)
- Application monitoring and logging
- Automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet
- Experience with ALM tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket
- Strong understanding of design patterns and Java 1.8
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Unix/Linux system administration (desirable)
- Experience with Redshift, Nexus, Artifactory (desirable)
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and sprint planning (desirable)
- Familiarity with cloud-native security and compliance practices (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural improvements and define scalable DevOps solutions
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Helm
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible
- Drive containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes
- Integrate service mesh technologies like ISTIO for secure and reliable microservices communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver high-quality software
- Conduct code reviews and enhance testing practices to ensure software reliability
- Provide support and incident response for developed automation solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices
- Maintain and enhance knowledge bases and documentation for operational excellence
- Deliver as per project schedule
Description
We are looking for a DevOps Architect/Senior Platform Engineer to join our team in Nottingham. This is a pivotal role where you will be transforming DevOps practices while working on high-impact projects that leverage modern cloud-native technologies and automation tools. The position offers access to cutting-edge platforms like Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and ISTIO, enabling you to design robust CI/CD pipelines and containerized solutions. We value collaboration and innovation, aiming to deliver top-quality software efficiently in a dynamic industry. The role requires a minimum of 3 days in the office per week and offers a 3 to 6-month duration assignment.
