Requirements
Must:
- Experience as a Solution Designer currently working on Data Lake (Big Data) based projects
- Strong understanding of Data Lake and Big Data technologies
- Proficiency with AWS Services, including S3, Lambda, and Kinesis
- Experience with ETL/ELT solutions such as AWS Glue and DBT
- Knowledge of data solutions like Snowflake
- Understanding of the Insurance Domain
- Ability to guide the full lifecycle of a BI solution
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, particularly for discussing competing options with stakeholders
- Experience in technical architecture design and application development
- Familiarity with BFSI domain experience (risk, fraud, AML, credit, customer analytics) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Guide the full lifecycle of a BI solution, including requirements impact analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, application design and development, testing, and deployment
- Present and discuss competing options with stakeholders to gain support and feedback
- Champion design recommendations to governance groups while responding to feedback
- Provide thought leadership for Data Management, Data Migration Strategy, and Data Lake Solutions
- Translate business requirements into design and data models, technical designs, and analytical solutions
- Liaise with enterprise architects, solution designers, analysts, and development partners
- Design BI Big Data solutions and customize applications on AWS Cloud
- Provide technical assistance to the development team with daily technical issues
- Undertake the deployment of proposed solutions
- Demonstrate a structured consideration of multiple technology options
Description
We are seeking a Data Solution Architect to join our team on a 6-month contract in Norwich, Norfolk, working three days a week. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead significant data projects, particularly in the Big Data space, while collaborating with a diverse team of architects and designers.
