Requirements
Must:
- 6-8 years of experience in data design and modeling
- Strong experience in data governance, metadata management, and cataloging
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview (catalog, lineage, classification, glossary)
- Experience supporting cloud data platforms, preferably Azure MS Fabric
- Understanding of data warehousing, Medallion Architecture, and analytics ecosystems
- Strong stakeholder management and documentation skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and modeling
Responsibilities
- Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models in Azure MS Fabric
- Lead data modeling activities for Oracle-to-Azure migration initiatives
- Define and optimize Medallion Architecture layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Translate business and analytical requirements into robust data structures
- Ensure data integrity, performance, scalability, and compliance with governance standards
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders
- Gather data requirements and determine ER diagrams
- Develop logical data models and multi-dimensional modeling
Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Design Analyst/Data Modeler to join our team in Leeds, working on-site 2 to 3 days a week for a duration of 6 months. We offer a collaborative environment where you will take end-to-end ownership of data modeling for data migrated from Oracle to Azure Microsoft Fabric. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals and tackle exciting challenges in data migration.
