Requirements
Must:
- Clear and confident communicator, able to work with designers, product teams, testers, engineers, and external partners.

- Comfortable with change, able to work through evolving requirements or priorities.
- Keen to learn and share knowledge, contributing to code reviews, pair programming, and community of practice activities.
- Experienced working within Agile delivery, contributing to stand-ups, planning, reviews, retrospectives, and show and tell sessions.
- Delivers with quality, making sensible trade-offs and managing technical debt thoughtfully.
- Stays informed about modern technologies and practices, promoting proportionate adoption of tools that add value.
- Intermediate to advanced practical experience with React and TypeScript.
- Proficient in Python and AWS services (e.g., Athena/Glue, DynamoDB, ECS, S3, Lambda, SQS, Step Function).
- Familiar with automated testing frameworks for Python and JavaScript.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery workflows.
- Tooling experience: Git, Jira, Confluence.
- Desirable: Familiarity with Cypress, GitHub Actions, Splunk.
- Eligible for BPSS and SC clearance due to interaction with sensitive or protected systems.
- Previous NHS experience is desirable, including understanding of NHS digital services or national systems.
- Exposure to digital product development and live service environments is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Build high-quality software that meets NHS service and safety requirements.
- Contribute to technical design to ensure robust and user-centered digital services.
- Continually improve codebases and implement best practices to enhance the software quality.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary Agile teams on various delivery activities.
- Participate actively in stand-ups, planning, reviews, retrospectives, and show and tell sessions.
- Engage in code reviews and pair programming to share knowledge and learning within the team.
- Manage technical debt thoughtfully and make sensible trade-offs to maintain software quality.
- Stay updated with modern technologies and practices, promoting thoughtful adoption within the team.
