Requirements

- Knowledge of wired and wireless networks
- Familiarity with VLANs and physical network topologies
- Experience with Fortigate firewalls
- Proficiency in switching, routing, and TCP/IP networking
- Understanding of VoIP/IP telephony systems
- Ability to ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Knowledge of emerging cyber security threats
- Experience with audio-visual equipment and smartboards
- Familiarity with cloud environments and asset management
- Training and development skills to guide staff
- Ongoing commitment to professional development
Responsibilities
- Support the Schools ICT provision
- Provide day-to-day ICT support to pupils and staff
- Respond to Helpdesk requests
- Manage on-premise and cloud environments
- Manage user accounts, onboarding, and leavers
- Maintain asset and licence registers
- Manage print services (e.g., PaperCut)
- Configure and support Fortigate firewalls
- Maintain and support wired and wireless networks
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Implement secure remote access solutions
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery systems
- Support and maintain classroom AV equipment and smartboards
- Liaise with external ICT support partners and suppliers
- Investigate, recommend, and implement future ICT developments
- Provide ICT guidance and training to staff
Description
We are seeking a proactive and energetic ICT professional for our new Senior ICT Support Engineer role, starting in March 2026. Our institution values strong technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities to deliver reliable and secure ICT services across the School. We offer a competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £38,000, depending on experience, along with a generous pension and benefits package. This is a full-year post with 5 weeks of annual leave, and we are committed to supporting the professional development of our team.
