Must:
We are seeking candidates with strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering, specifically for identity and key management systems. You should have expertise in automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform, as well as scripting experience in Python and Bash. Familiarity with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container security best practices is essential. Additionally, a solid understanding of cryptographic principles, PKI, and encryption standards is required. Proficiency in monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, along with experience in incident management frameworks, will be highly valued. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or cloud security certifications are preferred.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Site Reliability Engineering team for the Identity and Key Management Platform (IKP), your responsibilities will include maintaining high availability and resilience of IKP services across multi-cloud and on-prem environments. You will implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response for IKP components while developing automation for IKP deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management. Integrating IKP processes into CI/CD pipelines for secure and efficient operations will be a key part of your role. You will ensure that IKP configurations comply with our security standards and regulatory frameworks, manage the encryption key lifecycle operations, and promptly respond to and resolve IKP-related incidents. Conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures, while working closely with various stakeholders for secure integration, will also be part of your duties. Lastly, you will maintain operational runbooks and detailed documentation for IKP services and adhere to IT governance and change management processes.
Description
This contract position is based in Birmingham or Sheffield, with a requirement to be in the office three days per week. The daily rate is up to £490, with the role set to start on January 5, 2026.
