Must:
We are looking for a highly skilled and technically proficient Senior Functional Tester to join our team. To be considered for this role, you should have experience in the following areas:
- Strong Java coding skills (broad competence, not limited to Selenium).
- Proficiency in AWS services such as EventBridge, Lambda, EC2, and CodePipeline.
- Experience in test automation of APIs using tools like Cucumber, Serenity, and Postman.
- Excellent communication and explanation skills.
- A curious and inquisitive mindset.
Desirable skills and knowledge include:
- Background in AV streaming.
- Familiarity with Maven.
- Experience with microservices.
- Competence in non-functional testing.
- Quick learner who adapts to new technologies and processes.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for a dynamic mix of manual and automated testing, as well as potential exposure to load and penetration testing. You will work closely with our development and DevOps teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our microservices-based architecture, primarily hosted on AWS.
Key responsibilities include:
- Testing APIs and diagnosing issues using AWS logs.
- Contributing to the migration of legacy automated tests into a modern Java-based framework.
- Bringing best practices to the table, challenging assumptions constructively, and helping shape our testing strategy as we evolve our tech stack.
- Taking ownership of tasks and delivering high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
Description
This is not a handle-turner role; we are looking for someone who brings insight, initiative, and technical depth. You will be supported with domain knowledge but are expected to demonstrate proactivity in your work.
