Must:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer with strong infrastructure and DevOps expertise. You should have: - Hands-on experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, Lambda (Python), and Step Functions. - A solid understanding of load balancing, monitoring, and alerting within a DevOps context. - Strong scripting skills in PowerShell (or Linux with a willingness to learn PowerShell). - Experience with GitHub and command-line tools for managing version control, code reviews, and infrastructure updates. - Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, ideally with a focus on media-related projects. - A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or similar work-based experience. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Desirable skills include: - SSO Integration knowledge. - Previous experience with newsroom systems. - A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will help deliver and support a key transformation project moving our system from an on-premises environment into AWS. Your key responsibilities will include: - Engineering robust, secure, and maintainable cloud infrastructure. - Ensuring resilience and reliability across all environments. - Collaborating closely with external suppliers and internal technology teams, including InfoSec, Login, and Networks to ensure integrations, deployments, and configurations meet the highest standards. - Developing and maintaining automation scripts to underpin the systems' performance and reliability. - Contributing to the engineering standards of our high-profile broadcast and newsroom system.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the engineering standards of a platform used daily in live production. We desire a proactive, detail-oriented team player with a passion for infrastructure engineering, automation, and collaboration. The contract duration is initially 6 months with the possibility of extension. Besides our standard recruitment process, you will have a final online face-to-face meeting with our client to learn more about the role.
