Requirements
Must:
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2-3 years of experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) on the service desk, with a minimum of 12 months in a 2nd line engineer position. You must possess excellent customer service and telephone skills, along with demonstrable troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities in both hardware and software. Specific experience should include (but is not limited to) the following areas:
- Azure
- Office 365
- Network administration (routers, switches, and access points)
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Managing backups
- Email security
- Datto RMM
- Knowledge of phone systems and Session Border Controllers (SBCs), such as 3CX
Responsibilities
As a 2nd line support engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our clients, ensuring that their IT systems run smoothly and efficiently. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, collaborate with the service desk team, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our support processes. Your role will also involve communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and providing timely updates on incident resolutions.
