Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in data engineering with a focus on building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines
- Proficiency in Python as the primary programming language for data engineering
- Advanced SQL skills, specifically with the Snowflake dialect
- Familiarity with dbt for transformation, testing, and documentation
- Experience with Snowflake for data modeling and warehousing
- Knowledge of AWS services (S3 for storage, EC2 for compute)
- Proficiency in version control and CI/CD workflows via GitHub
- Experience with Docker for containerization
- Strong aptitude for API integration and connecting external data sources
- Problem-solving instincts and the ability to dig into issues
- Collaborative mindset, comfortable working with diverse teams
- Ability to explain complex data problems in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders
- Fast learner able to adapt to the rapidly changing data landscape
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Python and dbt
- Manage and optimize data models in Snowflake using native SQL
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS (S3, EC2)
- Integrate diverse data sources via APIs into well-structured pipelines
- Implement data governance practices including encryption, masking, and access control
- Manage version control and support CI/CD workflows via GitHub
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs
- Deliver reliable and documented data solutions
- Troubleshoot data issues rapidly and communicate clearly when problems arise
