Senior Systems Engineer - Cheltenham

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the IT infrastructure across our three sites. Your key duties will include identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to hardware, software, or network connectivity across both the Simulator and Office networks. You’ll oversee the IT helpdesk system to maintain targeted service level agreements (SLAs). Additionally, you will lead the installation and configuration of hardware, software, and network systems to achieve optimal performance, reliability, and security. Providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support, you'll resolve complex system, hardware, software, and network issues. Moreover, you will monitor and maintain IT security measures to protect our organisational data from unauthorized access and other cyber threats. Regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades of IT systems will be your responsibility to ensure high performance and minimal downtime. You will also create and maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and processes for use by IT staff and end-users. Delivering inductions, training sessions, and ongoing support to end-users on IT systems and security best practices will be part of your duties. Finally, you will contribute to monthly IT reports and assist with preparing the annual IT budget, managing one direct report by conducting regular meetings and performance appraisals.
