Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer with at least 7 years of software development experience. You should have commercial experience with Java, Spring, and AWS, along with a strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies. A comprehensive understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including testing, is essential. Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is preferred, and transitioning from .NET to Java will be beneficial. You must possess a solid understanding of Spring, development best practices, Java fundamentals, Java execution flow, and REST best practices. Additionally, all candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and reside within a commutable distance to London.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will serve as a senior member of our Java Development team, mentoring junior members, and being a key contributor in a Java, Spring, AWS, and Microservices environment. You will lead the redevelopment of existing products while enhancing their functionality. Collaboration with offshore teams and engagement with senior internal stakeholders will be crucial. You will also need to adhere to DevOps best practices and ensure compliance with SOLID principles.
