Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience managing mission-critical SQL Server databases
- Advanced T-SQL expertise
- Proven experience with replication and high availability (Availability Groups)
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Experience with modern data technologies (e.g. Kafka, Snowflake, Aurora)
- Scripting or development experience (PowerShell, C#, .NET)
- Familiarity with data tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
- Version control and DevOps tooling (GitHub, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Managing and optimising high-availability SQL Server environments
- Driving database performance tuning and system efficiency
- Owning backup, recovery, and disaster resilience strategies
- Implementing and maintaining robust database security practices
- Supporting real-time, high-volume data systems
- Collaborating across engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges
