Requirements
Must:
- 3–5+ years experience in an IT support / desktop support role
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server & Windows 10/11
- Experienced with Active Directory & Group Policy
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Familiar with Remote Desktop / Terminal Services
- Knowledge of desktop hardware, printers, and mobile devices
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Experience with Autotask or similar helpdesk systems is desirable
- Exposure to virtualization technologies like VMware / Hyper-V is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support to office users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and Microsoft 365 issues
- Manage Active Directory users, permissions and Group Policy
- Support meeting rooms and AV/conferencing systems
- Carry out routine maintenance, patching and backup monitoring
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers where required
- Assist with IT projects and system improvements
Description
We are looking for an experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to provide dedicated on-site IT support for one of our key clients based in Central London. This role will suit a strong support engineer who enjoys a hands-on, user-facing environment and taking ownership of day-to-day IT support within a professional office. You will be the dedicated on-site engineer embedded within the clients London office, acting as the primary point of contact for IT support while working closely with our wider infrastructure team. We offer a full-time, permanent position with a salary ranging from £45,000.00 to £49,000.00 per year.
