- Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a PMO or similar environment, specifically focusing on project support, data management, and quality assurance.
- Project Knowledge: A solid understanding of project management principles, documentation, and methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis software (such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) and the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret project data.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to various team members.
- Problem Solving: The capacity to identify issues within project data or processes and suggest practical solutions.
- Organisation: Excellent time management skills to handle a variety of tasks, from scheduling meetings to managing IT access and equipment allocation.
Responsibilities
As our PMO Analyst, I will support the PMO Lead and the wider team by keeping our project data accurate, accessible, and insightful. My day-to-day will involve:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Gathering, analyzing, and reporting on critical project data, including milestones, budgets, and resource allocation, preparing these insights for the senior management team.
- Quality Assurance: Acting as a guardian of quality, providing assurance on project status reports and ensuring all data submitted is accurate and consistent.
- Governance & Tracking: Assisting with project tracking and the management of Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID), ensuring every project adheres to our established governance standards.
- System Super-User: Acting as the super-user for our Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool, maintaining templates and guidance documents for a consistent approach across the business.
- Team Support: Providing direct administrative support to the PMO team, managing schedules, team calendars, and handling the onboarding and offboarding logistics for project managers.
