Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in SharePoint development (Online and/or On-Premise).
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, administration, and configuration.
- Experience developing with SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Advanced SharePoint automation techniques for the automation of new SharePoint instances.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and Microsoft Graph.
- Knowledge of Azure AD integration, permissions, and authentication models.
- Understanding of information governance, document management, and metadata design.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps delivery practices.
- Ability to produce clear documentation, including technical designs and release notes.
- (Preferred) Experience working within secure environments (MOD, Defence, Government).
- (Preferred) Knowledge of security accreditation processes or NCSC guidelines.
- (Preferred) Experience in migration tools (ShareGate, Metalogix, etc.).
- (Preferred) Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for SharePoint.

Responsibilities
As a SharePoint Developer, I will take ownership of specifying, developing, and testing subsystems while providing expert software development skills at a subsystem level. My key responsibilities will include:
- Serving as a SharePoint SME to build resilient and fault-tolerant SharePoint solutions capable of fail-over to alternative instances in a secondary datacenter.
- Building workflows and automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, and custom SharePoint Framework (SPFx) components.
- Establishing lists, libraries, and content types to support business processes and governance requirements.
- Implementing secure access and permissions models in line with organizational and MOD/NCSC policies.
- Integrating SharePoint with other enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, Power BI, Azure, and legacy systems.
- Customizing the SharePoint user experience through modern UI design, scripting (JavaScript/TypeScript), and web part development.
