Requirements
Must:
- You must be eligible for DV Clearance.
- Experience in core Cisco Networking technologies including switching, routing, firewall, and wireless (ASA, ACI, NX-OS, IOS, etc.).
- Good knowledge of network orchestration and automation.
- Strong understanding of fundamental vendor-independent network (IP) concepts and adjacent technologies (DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Experience leading projects and working as part of a team, including preparing and presenting designs to a high standard.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and group policy.
It would be great if you had:
- Familiarity with industry standard frameworks in project management and architecture (e.g., Prince2, TOGAF).
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications, and ideally Asterisk PABX.
- Familiarity with concepts involved in SIEM and other network security technologies.
- Knowledge of Endpoint Management.
- Familiarity with public cloud services (M365, AWS, Azure, Google).
Responsibilities
- I will create and implement end-to-end solution/technical design.
- I will provide solution and technical SME mentorship.
- I will serve as a customer contact point for design-related issues within projects.
- I will align standards, frameworks, and security with overall business and technology strategy.
- I will identify, communicate, and address Information Assurance risks.
- I will design security architecture elements to mitigate risks in liaison with Solution Leads.
- I will create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements.
- I will identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or improvements.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Solution Architect within our IT Defence division. You will oversee the full lifecycle of solutions from feasibility to delivery, ensuring continuity from an architectural and design perspective. The position is hybrid with 1 to 2 days on-site each week in either Salisbury or Portsmouth.
