- Proven experience in a Security Operations Centre.
- People management experience to nurture Analysts and lead career development.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk.
- Familiarity with the Mitre Att&ck Framework.
- Strong leadership abilities while maintaining hands-on involvement in security operations.
- Excellent influencing skills with a comprehensive understanding of all SOC services.
- A solid grasp of client-server applications, multi-tier web applications, relational databases, firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise AntiVirus products.

Responsibilities
- Lead and empower a team of SOC analysts, offering mentoring, performance management, and career growth opportunities.
- Monitor, triage, and investigate security incidents affecting critical client infrastructure.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of network traffic, logs, and system events to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide Incident Response support as needed.
- Enhance team knowledge of SOC tools, security operations, and triage processes.
- Prepare reports for managed clients tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analyze and improve detection rules and use cases in accordance with Mitre Att&ck and a threat-informed defense.
- Represent the SOC in stakeholder meetings.
- Work in a hybrid model from home and our Gosport office (1 to 2 days per week).

We are looking for a Lead Senior SOC Analyst who can lead from the front, manage a large and intricate Defence account, and bring proven SOC experience to our already diverse team. To succeed in this role, it is crucial that you are eligible for DV Clearance.
