- Vocational/Diploma/Associate Degree in a technical field or relevant VMware certification.
- Relevant experience as a VMware Horizon Design Engineer.
- Skilled in designing and deploying multi-site VDI Farms using VMware vCenter, ESXi, and Horizon View VDI (Connection Servers, Desktop Pools).
- Familiarity with technologies such as Unified Access Gateway, Dynamic Environment Manager, Gold Image Management, AppVolumes Management, and Application Management.
- Experience with the hardening of virtualization infrastructures using CIS Benchmarks or NIST SP 800-53 controls.
- Understanding of certificate management as it relates to VMware virtualization.
- Proficiency in multi-datacentre environments with a focus on availability, resilience, and fault tolerance.
- Good understanding of networking as it relates to VMware virtual networking and NSX-T.
- Strong written, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
- Drive the direction of all tasks allocated to the EUC services workstream.
- Responsible for the design of multi-site, multi-tenancy VDI Farms using VMware Horizon View and related technologies.
- Produce and maintain design artifacts, such as Low-Level Designs and Release Notes.
- Detail the build process, new procedures, and perform reviews/updates.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all virtualization-related matters.
- Lead all aspects of VDI Services deployments through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to production systems.
- Analyze and resolve issues end-to-end.
- Attend client-facing meetings and develop relationships with third-party suppliers.
- Provide regular updates to technical and project leadership about virtualization services delivery.
- Intensify any issues that may impact the delivery of the virtualization services components.

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at our new Farnborough site. Our project entails designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining the EUC components of a Wintel and VMware-based multi-tenant platform utilizing VMware Horizon. We are seeking someone who can take charge of the design and is eager for a new challenge. This position is office-based in Farnborough, with limited options for remote work, and candidates must be eligible for DV Clearance. We offer a competitive salary, up to £65K depending on experience, along with benefits that include 25 days of annual leave, private health coverage, life assurance, pension, and a generous flexible benefits fund.
