Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC)
- Experience implementing Azure Landing Zones / Cloud Adoption Framework
- Knowledge of Checkov or similar security scanning tools
- Experience with cloud migrations (Azure Migrate preferred)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell)
- Experience working with cloud-native tooling
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to AWS (desirable)
- Experience with on-prem to cloud transformations (desirable)
- Background in secure / regulated environments (desirable)
- Certifications (desirable): AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert), AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals)
Responsibilities
- Design, build and optimise Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
- Integrate security practices into the SDLC, including automated testing and compliance
- Support cloud migration activities and landing zone implementation
- Monitor environments, respond to incidents, and drive remediation
- Collaborate across distributed teams and contribute to agile ceremonies
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams
Description
We are a high-profile government-aligned organisation delivering critical digital, technology, and cyber security programmes. We are seeking an experienced DevOps Cloud Engineer to join a major cloud transformation initiative in a hybrid role, with 60% onsite in Milton Keynes. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building secure, scalable cloud platforms within a highly regulated environment. We offer competitive PAYE and Umbrella rates, with the possibility of a 6-month contract extension.
