Requirements
Must:
- You should be a current undergraduate university student studying in the UK or Ireland, in your penultimate year, with a Technology or IT-based degree discipline.
- You should be passionate about tech and eager to learn.
- You must be able to develop and maintain relationships both externally and internally.
- You should possess the ability to use your initiative and work independently or as part of a team.
- You must demonstrate an alignment with our Softcat values and inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
- Join a specialist team and take on meaningful responsibilities and duties.
- Support technical projects and customer engagements.
- Collaborate and engage across departments to deliver top-tier service.
- Build key skills such as technical knowledge, communication, time management, prioritisation, and organisation.
- Work with other Softcat interns on exciting group projects.
- Learn about your team and department and how they contribute to Softcat's success.
Description
We offer an internship program where your ideas matter and you can make a real impact. This 12-month program starts on Monday, July 6, 2026, with a salary of £20,000. You will gain hands-on experience by working on real projects within our Technical & Services Department. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your technical knowledge in areas from Cyber Security to Hybrid Infrastructure. We recognize that life doesn’t always fit into a 9-5 schedule, so we provide flexibility with hybrid working and adjustable hours. Our recruitment process includes an application, a one-way video interview, a virtual assessment center, and a final stage panel interview. Please note our application closing date is Friday, December 19, 2025, and we ask that you be available for the Assessment Centre on either February 16 or February 19, 2026.
