Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a data governance or data management role
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality, and data security principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams, from technical experts to business leaders
- Experience with business intelligence platforms and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Passion for promoting a data-driven culture and improving data literacy
- Experience with tools and technologies such as MS Purview, CluedIn, Power BI, Tableau, data cataloguing and lineage tools, and data quality monitoring platforms
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework across Softcat
- Collaborate with Data Managers and other stakeholders
- Oversee IT data governance initiatives
- Monitor data quality and visualisation efforts
- Enhance data literacy within the organization
- Manage data access and permissions
- Be the product owner for Softcats Data Cataloguing Platform
- Own and lead the Data Governance Committee
