Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience managing engineering or SRE teams in a large, complex organisation
- Strong background in platform engineering, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern infrastructure
- Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and IT service management principles
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of building and scaling teams
- Experience driving operational excellence, incident response, and system reliability
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical oversight
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage platform engineering and SRE teams within a large-scale organisation
- Drive reliability, scalability, and performance across critical systems and services
- Define and implement SRE best practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and incident management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and business units
- Oversee cloud infrastructure strategy, optimisation, and cost efficiency
- Ensure alignment with IT service management frameworks, including ITIL
- Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers where applicable
