Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience administering Google Workspace in a business environment
- Strong knowledge of Google Admin Console and security settings
- Experience with identity and access management (SSO, MFA, user lifecycle)
- Understanding of email security, data protection, and compliance concepts
- Ability to troubleshoot complex user and configuration issues
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Admin Console, etc.)
- Manage user accounts, groups, shared drives, licenses, and organizational units
- Configure and enforce security policies (MFA, DLP, context-aware access, data retention)
- Monitor system health, usage, and security alerts
- Handle onboarding, offboarding, and role changes
- Troubleshoot and resolve Google Workspace-related issues
- Integrate Google Workspace with third-party tools and identity providers
- Maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices
- Support audits, compliance requirements, and security reviews
- Provide tier 2/3 support and guidance to end users and IT teams
Description
We are seeking a skilled Google Workspace Administrator to take ownership of our Google Workspace environments configuration, security, and ongoing management. This role is crucial for ensuring our users benefit from a secure, reliable, and optimized collaboration platform, thus supporting our business growth and operational efficiency. We operate on a hybrid model, with 2 days on-site in Royston, Cambridge. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys both technical responsibilities and engaging with users to solve problems.
