Requirements
Must:
- Experience in a Managed Service Provider environment
- Experience with Modern Workplace / EUC engineering
- Strong knowledge of enterprise EUC environments including Windows, macOS, mobile devices, and virtual desktops (VDI)
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, and other modern workplace technologies
- Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., Proxmox, VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Proficient in market-leading Backup and recovery solutions
- Understanding of security management practices including AntiSpam, web filtering, and AV technologies
- Experience in configuring, managing, and monitoring firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances
- SC Clearance required
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding 3rd line technical support as the final escalation point for EUC-related incidents and service requests
- Manage and optimise enterprise EUC environments, including Windows, macOS, mobile devices, virtual desktops, and collaboration tools
- Maintain and support Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, and other modern workplace technologies
- Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions, patching, and compliance policies
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers
- Act as the technical lead on major incidents, problem management, and root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
- Collaborate with project teams on EUC transformation initiatives, including device rollouts, migrations, and modern workplace solutions
- Maintain and update IT documentation and processes
Description
We are a leading and growing Managed Service Provider and Systems Integrator, offering an exciting opportunity for a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer. This role will support a diverse customer base in both the public and private sectors and provides excellent scope and future growth opportunities for the right candidate. We offer a competitive salary of £45k, an excellent benefits package, and a hybrid working model of 2 days from home and 3 days from our Caerphilly office. Additionally, there is a requirement to work on-call as part of a rota, compensated accordingly.
