Requirements
Must:
I am looking for an experienced Support Engineer who possesses a range of technical skills and a can-do attitude. You will need to have hands-on experience with Microsoft Server (2016 and later), Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, VMware, and Hyper-V. Hardware and software support skills, including PC repairs, network troubleshooting, as well as router, switch, and firewall support, are essential. Additionally, experience in remote troubleshooting and a good telephone manner are crucial. I prefer candidates with experience in Managed Service Providers (MSP), SharePoint, Draytek router and switch support, TCP/IP routing, DHCP, DNS, Linux, Plesk, and Microsoft legacy operating systems, including VPN setup.

Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to manage your own workload autonomously while supporting our customers throughout the Sheffield area. Your key responsibilities will include answering customer queries via telephone and remote support, managing customer projects, and enhancing our internal applications. You'll be involved in tasks such as upgrading PCs from Windows 10 to 11, handling installations, server migrations, and networking projects, including minor cabling tasks and moving applications onto SharePoint.

This is a hands-on position within a small team where your willingness to learn and improve is vital. I see this as a fantastic opportunity for you to leverage your experience and help shape and define this role. The working hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, and a clean driver’s license is essential.
