Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Software Developer with the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial experience
- Proficiency in a strongly typed object-oriented language, ideally Visual Basic or C#
- Experience with either .NET Framework (4.6 onwards) or .NET Core (5.0 onwards)
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or similar SQL servers, with the ability to write queries using SQL (MSSQL preferred; MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite acceptable)
- Familiarity with web technologies in areas such as HTML, CSS, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Experience using version control systems, preferably GitHub
*Advantageous:*
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience with technologies like XML, JSON, SOAP, REST
- Experience delivering a commercial product through its full lifecycle from conception to support
- Knowledge of application and mobile website development
- Understanding of secure coding practices
- Experience in supporting and maintaining virtual servers in Hyper-V
- Any experience supporting or implementing solutions in a healthcare environment
Responsibilities
As a Software Developer, my responsibilities include:
- Developing, maintaining, and supporting bespoke software applications aligned with customer and business needs
- Enhancing existing products by designing, implementing, and testing new features
- Collaborating with the Software Development Manager and the wider team to effectively deliver software projects
- Performing system and feature testing to ensure product quality and reliability
- Engaging directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates
- Providing technical support to customers, addressing software issues, and ensuring a positive user experience
- Contributing to troubleshooting complex problems alongside internal teams
- Supporting cross-functional collaboration within the organization to drive product improvements

We are a well-established specialist Information Technology Software and Service Provider to the UK Healthcare industry. This position is offered as a permanent contract with a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
