We are looking for a passionate Software Developer who is motivated to work with fellow Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and business users to create software solutions that meet our organizational needs. You should have a strong advocacy for agile development frameworks, a drive to learn new technologies, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint demos, and sprint retrospectives.
- Provide accurate estimates for user stories and backlog items.
- Translate user stories and backlog items into logical units of work.
- Evaluate technical feasibility.
- Translate requirements and acceptance criteria into technical solutions.
- Produce well-structured, efficient, and reliable code within agreed timescales, using the chosen technologies for the solution.
- Ensure that code is well tested using Test-Driven Development (TDD) where appropriate.
- Provide prompt fixes to identified defects, ensuring thorough testing before release.
- Manage code using the selected code management tool, ensuring timely check-in and check-out of changes while being aware of potential impacts on other team Developers.
- Contribute to the overall quality of code delivered by the Development Team through code reviews.
- Maintain an interest in the latest development tools and technologies and be prepared to use these in a fast-paced environment.
- Apply development best practices and adhere to IT policies and standards.
- Actively participate in the Development community by sharing skills and knowledge and bringing in best practices.
- Communicate complex ideas and concepts simply and elegantly to foster understanding.
