Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency with industry standard software and hardware.
- Experience with VMware, Microsoft Server Products, ASH, Elastic, backup technologies, PKI, encryption technologies, Linux, switching, routing, and firewalling across multiple product stacks (Cisco, Juniper, Mellanox).
- Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Horizon, HPC, Horizon VDI (Omnissa), Browsedown/Browseacross products, DevOps tooling, and techniques.
- Proven experience leading a technical team or serving as a technical mentor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and architecture of systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with customers, management, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and align solutions with the wider business, where appropriate.
- Review and guide the development of new features and innovations, ensuring they align with the overall system architecture and technical standards.
- Identify and implement best practices in secure computing principles, such as SBD standards, design patterns, and testing approaches.
- Make decisions on technical stack, tooling, and product selection based on project requirements and long-term sustainability.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, helping them grow technically and professionally.
- Foster a collaborative team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations to team members.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Manage risks and proactively address challenges that may impact project deliverables.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, customers, and SLT, where required.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve technical solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies that can benefit the teams productivity and product functionality.
- Ensure that systems are robust, reliable, and performant by implementing monitoring and thorough testing practices.
- Implement disaster recovery plans and system backups to ensure proper design principles.
