Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure development.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Infrastructure as Code.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex platform solutions in hybrid environments.
- Solid understanding of platform security, compliance, and operational tooling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., Defence, Security) is highly desirable.
- Certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps practices (desirable).
- Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) (desirable).
- Exposure to platform governance and architecture forums (desirable).
- Familiarity with incident management and operational support processes (desirable).
- Eligible for SC clearance; UK sole nationals only. Willing to apply for DV (desirable).
- Some international travel may be required (desirable).
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable platform solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Contribute to the development and governance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Support the implementation of monitoring, observability, and incident response frameworks.
- Collaborate with SRE and operations teams to ensure platform reliability, performance, and resilience.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis, driving continuous improvement.
- Act as a subject matter expert in platform technologies, guiding engineering decisions and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to platform evolution and innovation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into platform capabilities.
- Participate in architecture reviews, governance forums, and strategic planning sessions.
