We are looking for an IT Support Engineer with proven experience in IT technical support and strong customer service skills. You should possess excellent communication abilities and the capacity to build relationships at all levels. A strong technical knowledge base is essential, including:
- Cybersecurity
- SharePoint & Microsoft Teams management
- Printer installation & troubleshooting (PaperCut)
- Desktop/laptop troubleshooting (Windows 11, Microsoft 365)
- iOS/Android/MDM support
- Network troubleshooting
- Managed software deployment & A/V technology
You should be well-organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Additionally, you must be physically capable of moving equipment when required. A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including Maths, English, and IT/Science, is required. A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport (with business-use insurance provided; mileage claimable) are also necessary.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide professional telephone, remote, and on-site IT support to staff and students.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot key systems and processes.
- Deliver training on new and existing systems in partnership with the internal training coordinator.
- Produce clear documentation and maintain accurate records of completed work.
- Lead and support IT projects, including planning and managing your own initiatives.
- Travel to sites without on-site IT staff as part of a scheduled rota.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and contribute to continuous service improvement.

You will play a key role in providing high-quality technical support, managing projects, and supporting the rollout of new technologies across our schools and training environments. The salary for this full-time position is up to £35,000, depending on experience, with 25 days of annual leave (rising to 29 after 5 years) plus bank holidays. The start date is as soon as possible.
