Requirements
Must:
- Previous corporate level 3rd line networking support experience
- Excellent customer service including key stakeholder interactions
- Experience of creating quality support documentation
- Expert knowledge and understanding of support best practices and procedures
- Previous MSP experience
- CCNP certification (desirable)
- FortiGate NSE4+ certification (desirable)
- Understanding of Networking IPv4 / DHCP / DNS / Switches (intermediate level)
- Understanding Enterprise Firewall technologies (intermediate level)
- Understanding Enterprise WAN technologies (intermediate level)
- Understanding Enterprise Network Management and Monitoring (intermediate level)
- Understanding of packet capture technologies and tools (intermediate level)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn new systems and technologies
- Methodical and analytical approach to problem solving
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Resourceful self-sufficient individual who works well in a team and independently
- Calm and approachable, able to take ownership of issues and see them through
- Ability to respond to changing business priorities
Responsibilities
- Perform systems maintenance for all our clients
- Identify improvements to networking systems and infrastructure
- Monitor production networks and infrastructure comprehensively
- Conduct hardware and firmware upgrades to networking infrastructure
- Write and implement RFCs
- Provide support and training to team members
- Create and maintain detailed documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking incidents and escalations
- Monitor and fix networking alerts
- Conduct root cause analysis and report on network trends
- Manage major incident resolution
- Handle service requests, BAU firewall, and network switch configuration
- Provide on-call support (escalations only, as part of rota)
- Deliver small projects
- Participate in datacentre and client site deployments
- Submit and execute detailed change requests
