Must:
We are looking for a highly skilled Database Administrator with proven experience as a DBA, specializing in Microsoft SQL Server (2008 R2 onwards), and strong expertise in SQL Server maintenance including patching. You should possess proficiency in backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies, as well as experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). We value your experience with SQL infrastructure optimization projects and migrations, particularly in multi-client or multi-environment setups. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who are highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented. You should be a dynamic self-sufficient individual who works well both in a team and independently, and can adapt to changing business priorities.
Responsibilities
As a Database Administrator, you will administer, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, including legacy versions. You will oversee and enhance backup and disaster recovery processes, perform regular maintenance tasks such as index management and patching, and support SSRS and SSIS packages. Collaborating with infrastructure teams, you will lead database transformation and modernization projects, while supporting multiple client environments and balancing workloads across various systems. Your role will involve proactively monitoring the health, performance, and capacity of SQL Server instances, documenting processes, standards, and client configurations, and providing technical support and guidance to both clients and internal teams. We estimate that your time will be evenly split between improvement works, business-as-usual maintenance, and reactive support.
