Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Masters degree is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in software development, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with programming languages such as C# .NET, JavaScript, and VB
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Proficiency in software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development practices
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal business hours to support manufacturing operations
- Ability to travel to different manufacturing sites as needed
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems used in manufacturing processes
- Work closely with automation engineers to integrate software solutions with hardware and machinery
- Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software systems
- Develop and maintain databases and software solutions for data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, quality assurance teams, project managers, and other stakeholders
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for software applications
- Ensure that all software solutions comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Provide training and support to manufacturing staff on new software tools and systems
