Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a Data Engineer/strategic data role
- Strong working knowledge of Query Optimisation, DAX, Power BI
- Hands-on experience with either Amazon AWS or Azure data platforms, Business Central experience is beneficial
- Experience integrating multiple systems into a central cloud-based data platform
- Excellent technical documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bring new ideas, challenge when needed, and collaborate
Responsibilities
- Lead on data-driven projects ensuring effective project management and delivery on time
- Design and build a scalable, modern cloud-based data platform, including data lake, data ingestion pipelines, transformation, and data modelling
- Evaluate current data setup to identify gaps and improvements, optimising or rebuilding the data and analytics infrastructure as needed
- Ensure that data analytics, governance, and architecture practices are scalable and robust
- Establish raw data flows that support operational and reporting insight
Description
We are a growing manufacturing organization and a market leader in our field for over 40 years, with a strong UK and European presence. This newly created role for a Data Engineer offers a competitive salary of £70,000 to £80,000 plus an annual bonus scheme of up to 10%. We embrace hybrid working, typically allowing 2 days of work from home. This is an excellent opportunity to take up a pivotal role in designing and implementing our cloud-based data infrastructure.
