Requirements
Must:
- I have 5+ years of professional experience with PHP/Laravel in production environments.
- I possess strong familiarity with Laravel conventions and the broader ecosystem.
- I am proven in my ability to work within legacy codebases.
- I have competence with React — I can debug and stabilize but do not necessarily rebuild.
- I have experience with DevOps basics, including AWS, CI/CD, and shell tools.
- I maintain a high attention to detail and possess a careful problem-solving mindset.
- I am not a disruptor; I follow direction and build trust within the team.
- I have experience mentoring juniors and promoting good coding practices.
- As a team player, I build strong working relationships.
Responsibilities
- I deliver stable, well-reviewed code across our PHP 8 / Laravel 9 monolith.
- I improve legacy systems incrementally without introducing risk or churn.
- I follow technical leadership and prioritize team goals over personal agendas.
- I mentor junior developers and support a culture of professional discipline.
- I collaborate with security and DevOps tools (Vapor, Snyk, and Cloudflare).
- I communicate clearly regarding blockers, estimates, and changes.
- I consistently contribute in a team-first manner within a structured engineering environment.
