Requirements
Must:
- 2–4 years of experience in web development or front-end development
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS (and/or SASS), JavaScript, and PHP
- Solid experience building websites in WordPress; experience with HubSpot and Shopify is favorable
- Comfortable working with Figma/Sketch designs and translating them into accurate builds
- Understanding of responsive development, accessibility standards, and performance optimization best practices
- Familiarity with Git-based version control
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field, such as Web Development / Computer Science / Digital Media - Digital Design / Software Engineering / Interactive Media, or relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., Level 3–5 Diploma in Web Development, Software Development, Digital Media)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating real-world web development projects, especially WordPress/Shopify/HubSpot builds
- Industry certifications, such as HubSpot CMS Developer Certification, Shopify Partner Academy courses, or WordPress development courses (Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, accessible websites primarily in WordPress, with additional development in HubSpot and Shopify
- Build custom themes, templates, and components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP; other languages may also be beneficial
- Configure CMS environments, custom post types, fields, and plugins
- Conduct performance audits and implement improvements to speed, SEO, accessibility, and overall UX
- Carry out ongoing maintenance, updates, and technical fixes
- Test across devices/browsers and support QA processes
- Join client meetings to discuss requirements, provide technical guidance, and translate ideas into practical solutions
- Present and train customers on the website work deployed, prototypes, and final builds with clarity and confidence
- Communicate technical concepts in a friendly, non-technical way
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to bring concepts to life with pixel perfect accuracy
- Support content writers and strategists to ensure smooth CMS workflows
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure work is delivered on time and to high standards
