Requirements
Must:
- Strong commercial experience working with Shopify at a senior or lead level
- Expert knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs
- Experience mentoring developers or leading Shopify delivery
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly
- Nice to have: Hydrogen/Oxygen, React (Next.js or Remix), TypeScript, TailwindCSS
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of complex Shopify projects from discovery through to launch
- Architect and build custom Shopify themes and solutions using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Act as the technical authority on Shopify, providing guidance, code reviews, and mentorship
- Collaborate closely with branding, QA, and Project Management
- Drive standards, tooling, and performance optimisation across projects
Description
We are looking for an experienced Shopify Tech Lead to join our growing digital team in Liverpool, delivering high-performance ecommerce solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll own Shopify projects end-to-end while mentoring developers and establishing frontend best practices. We offer a salary of up to £55,000 and provide a hybrid working environment, allowing you to work 3 days per week in our Liverpool office. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape technical direction and lead Shopify delivery on varied projects in a fast-paced environment.
