We are seeking an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer who exhibits strong experience in network configuration and management, along with experience in firewall configuration and management. Candidates should hold CCNA/CCNP certification or an equivalent qualification, with experience in Netgate firewalls preferred. Essential skills include switch management (stacked/edge switches), RHEL/CentOS Linux Servers (SAMBA/Apache/Wildfly), ISCSI SAN Technologies, and working within a clustered virtualized environment (based on Xenserver or Xcp-ng). Additionally, expertise in Splunk Logserver, system monitoring, Microsoft AD and Remote Desktop Services (W2019), Bash scripting, and networking (especially with Netgate 7100/8300 pfSense Plus appliances) is necessary. We are looking for individuals who possess excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems, coupled with hands-on experience in network administration and installation. ITIL experience is also required.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to maintain our company's disaster recovery (DR) infrastructure, including performing scheduled testing. You will monitor key systems to ensure that availability and capacity requirements are consistently met. You will be responsible for implementing and managing network security policies, including VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems. Additionally, you will manage and maintain network documentation, configurations, and processes in line with regulatory and compliance standards. You will be tasked with scheduling and prioritizing infrastructure and operations (I&O) tasks, allocating resources to complete those tasks within given timelines. Regular systems updates, patching, and vulnerability assessments will be part of your routine, and you will collaborate with our cybersecurity team, Head of IT, C.I.S.O, and Directors. You must also be available to troubleshoot and rectify any issues that arise.
